Summer Wrap-Up

It may seem like summer is just arriving to our peninsula, but the women of the Coyle Women's Club have already had one of the busiest seasons in recent memory! We kicked off summer with a community powered trash cleanup, BBQ fundraising dinner that resulted in a very generous donation to the Coyle Food Bank, and a highly successful bake sale. A big thank you to everyone who helped organize and facilitate these events! Here's a peek at some of what we've been up to:

Thanks to member Jeanne Walker, we were able to combine our talents and take on the task of re-covering the chairs in the community center, a long time wish-list project that should be done by summer's end.
Watch our Facebook page and Toandos Google Group announcements for what's coming up in September; we're not done yet! Don't miss out on our community wide yard sale coming September 24th, to be held at the Laurel B. Johnson Community Center. Popcorn, hot dogs, and bargains galore!

Coyle Kids!

What do you get when you take a clutch of rural kids and send them into a field to hunt Easter eggs? A lot more than eggs, that's for sure! Youngsters aged one to twelve attending the Coyle Women's Club Easter Breakfast on April 23rd were sent outside with their baskets to find colored eggs to decorate, and several of them decided playing with snakes, lizards and frogs was just as fun!

Eventually, the eggs were rounded up...

...and the decorating began.
